As the owner of the G15 I was looking for a successor and am stuck with the G510.
new G510 towards the G15 in direct comparison:
very small display that does not also be pivoted as in the G15
Backlight of the keys can be only on or exhibit. Also no dimming 3x as before. Illumination color can not be selected in green and no longer in a chic blue (ok we knew beforehand)
No USB ports on the keyboard (very, very bad)
fortunately better speaker / media player functions - successful scroll wheel for volume adjustment
Toll: Speaker and Microfonbuchsen on the G510 .......
corrosive but: you put just a Micro to the PC because the surround system is off, this comes from because it is completely converted to the keyboard. So really only makes sense if you as headphones and / or sound system attached to the keyboard.
Conclusion: I'm really not impressed and will probably reconnect my dingy G15 again, even if the optically no longer looks so great because the black color is picked up during the few years at certain points and the white plastic base color Now comes through.
What generally speaks for Logitech is the durability, and especially in programmable displays course the community and software vendors that offer tens of applications because what you can represent anything great on it.
For me, anyway only comes with Logitech keyboards and mice in question.
