Inside a Phenom II X4 945 processor tinkers on a 880GM-USB3 Gigabyte board. As this is the CPU cooler Scythe Mugen 4 for use. When choosing a CPU cooler should be careful. Cooltek are namely at a height of up to 160mm, with the Mugen 4 should have a height of 156.5mm. Still, I had to push at the point of the CPU cooler to close the side door to the normal insulation. I do not know if it is on the Board or on any misstatement by Cooltek. In any case, you should not frighten you, if the side door is not properly closed immediately if the same problem exists. From a higher CPU cooler I have to completely advise against.
The temperatures of the system are in operation in the green zone:
- CPU: 29 ° C (idle) to 44 ° C (full load under Prime95 after 15min)
- MB: 27-29 ° C
- HDD (Seagate Barracuda 7200.14): 28-30 ° C
I have the housing used for another system (i5-4460, EKL Alpenföhn Sella, MSI B85M-E45, Samsung 840 EVO and HGST Deskstar 7K1000.C). In this system, the temperatures are really good (fan control set to low):
- CPU: 34 ° C (idle) to 49 ° C (full load under Prime95 for 20 minutes)
- MB: 33-35 ° C
- SSD: 31 ° C
- HDD: 29 ° C
Those who want a quiet system zusamennstellen and appreciate a clean cabinetry, should strike definitely here. Especially the price makes the case very attractive. Also nice: is for the 4/8-pin ATX12V power connector in addition an extension cord when not containing sheath, thus thinner than the (most) Cable of power supplies. Thus, it is not only easier to perform behind the Mainboardtray, but can be plugged in advance on the mainboard. This makes installation considerably when a large Tower cooler is used and the 4/8-pin connector covers.
Here again the pros in the summary:
+ Simple stylish design
+ Solid build quality, good quality
+ 2-stage fan control (high / low, the fan can also be switched off completely)
+ Inaudible fan at a low level "Low"
+ Quiet fan at level "high"
+ Very good thermal values
+ Extension for 4/8-pin ATX12V power connector
+ Good decoupling of HDDs and PSU
+ Insulation
+ Cable Management
+ P / L ratio
And the cons:
- Big Tower cooler as the Mugen 4 (156.5mm) do not fit in, although according to the manufacturer cooler should fit up to 160mm
All in all a buy recommendation from me!
