The opening of the water tank under the big cover is to be filled very nice size and with the dripping teeming pot of left and right well. Scales for the water level are located at both sides of the tank, so at least one is visible from anywhere. Less practical is the scale of the pot, the black numbers are located on the black handle and are therefore hardly visible. Also complicates the bulbous shape of the pot to pour, you have to keep them very far upside down to empty them completely.
A characteristic of the look is the Aroma Selector, which is a rotary knob on the shower head, with the taste and strength of the coffee can be regulated. When set to mild aromatic hot water from eight outlying small nozzles running from the shower head in the filter, in the strong-intensive setting it comes from a centrally located large opening. This actually works quite well, the coffee is, depending on the setting, mild or strong. However, it turns already the question whether this is really useful, one can also easily change the amount of coffee powder. I for one would want to get the full flavor of the coffee and therefore take a little less, if it is to be not quite as strong.
Very useful is the removable IR cut filter and the fact lying and removable coffee filter basket, both can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Bit tight, I find 40 minutes to the automatic shutdown of the hot plate for 60 minutes should be the user already to drink the coffee machine. Workmanship and materials make an overall price reasonable quality impression, the machine should have a fairly long life.
All in all, a nice coffee with adequate facilities, the otherwise unremarkable doing its job. Additional features such as a timer or audio signals at the end of brewing and automatic switch-off does not exist in this basic version of Melitta Look.
