Directly by tested and I'm really deeply impressed.
I'm surprised how well the Mini beats himself against his big brother. The can be a piece louder and sounds total of a little rounder. It is also slightly less sensitive in terms of choice of music, brings some pieces that will not sound really good on the Mini significantly better advantage, but the difference in sound quality is really not as huge as you might expect given the size difference.
In the low volumes I find him the most impressive mini - you can feel the bass physically and music is still amazingly transparent and differentiated. I like very well, that the bass is doing almost somewhat exaggerated gepuscht by soundprozessing. In this volume range I like it even a little better than the big SoundLink. Balanced it sounds in the moderate listening levels. Played limit the sound of the Minis is however no longer so hot - he pressed the sound significantly stronger than the big brother to his ...
In short, I am blown away by the small part. This is an adult speaker. I know of no other mobile speaker this size that could previously take on the SoundLink Mini. Bose sets a new standard here.
Confusingly, it is beginning to feel the sound of the mini deep in the body, however, while having only this small box in front of eyes. Somehow unreal ....
As for the mobility: The SoundLink Mini, despite its still pretty high weight significantly more transportable than the big SoundLink (!). Compared to the Sound Matters Foxl that fits into a pocket, but still a Trumm. The Foxl can concerning the sound, of course not keep up with the nearly Mini extent the comparison is obviously unfair.
Perhaps expanding the Bose SoundLink product range still a Mini Mini?

Update: After watching for some time now have the Mini in operation, it is time for a few additions.
I have not yet managed to play the empty battery. I had the mini this already longer than the specified 6 hours straight in operation. The details of the Bose battery range seem so fair.
The Mini is quite sensitive formation, Straight Indoor it's worth a little experiment if one of the sound of the Minis is too bassy. Outdoor However, the vote of the bass is perfect!
Treble and midrange sound the way better when slightly higher positioned the Mini.
Better than on Equalizer (iPhone / iPod) can be the bass the way by reducing the volume of the playback devices (!) Regulate. So you want less bass, simply reduce the volume on the player device and increase in the pits.
The SoundLink Mini is optimized by the vote clearly on playing music. The more dynamic the music, the better the sound. Acoustic guitar and piano loves the Mini. Even when playing Techno, Goa, Ambient etc. he makes at most tracks a good figure, because all mobile boxes this magnitude that I had been in his hands had failed, during playback of spoken language (audio book / podcast / lecture) he is weakening - particularly the male speaker voices are often "überbasst" which is a bit exhausting in the long run. When playing movie sound and radio plays, the Mini is reflected better.
Mobility Plus 1 .: The Mini can be wonderfully to bring the battery packs 12 volts and the corresponding hollow plug (by the way one of the most common barrel connector) operate - a longer outdoor use away from the power supply becomes possible.
Successfully tested with the 20 000er battery bank of anchor.
Mobility Plus 2 .: By the mini house requires 12 volt charging voltage, the corresponding Car charger turns out very handy. Quite unlike the Car Cable of big brothers SoundLink and SoundDock. They want a higher voltage and the car cable is the box eingeknupperte the power to the required higher voltage levels stepped up really bulky.
Unlike the SoundLink II I have the Mini now often in your pocket with this - chosen by Bose size has therefore been found to be suitable for everyday use ...
The excitement about the SoundLink Mini remains!
