The operation of the sewing machine is very simple. Virtually foolproof. However, if a W6 produces a seam with looping, should definitely consider the following without pressing the same to the voltage setting around:
SETTING:
- Clamp the upper thread only with presser foot into the thread guide and a short return. Then the thread is certainly slipped deep enough into it. Often that's the problem-solving.
(By the way, the yarn changing the yarn is not simply pull back from the thread guide when the sewing foot is down. Then the thread is still in the tight voltage and may pass through the tear out unintentionally.)
-Is The sewing very old and even from grandma's day? Then best to throw away the same and use new Maschinengarn. Preferably 100% polyester Maschinengarn. (Old sewing thread may, but need not be a problem :) Just try..
-Are Bobbin thread and upper thread the same yarn? Uneven yarn strengths simply not in harmony and often a difference of yarn thickness of each thread of thread material and is for a layman not to recognize. Therefore, even if the colors match, you should check with an unexplained loop formation, whether it really is in the upper thread and the thread on the bobbin to the same yarn.
-Is The sewing thread has been wound on the spool used from another machine? Then maybe better again rewinding with the W6.
- If the coil in the correct rolling direction?
Presumably shows the W6 considering these points and a nice even seam :)
Small flaws:
All Sewing Machine W6 who we tested showed at the embroidery program "Ice Crystal" a weak point in the beam to the right of the presser foot. The two beams were too close together or sewn on each other. Even with a pad made of solid fabric and another needle was not to resolve the issue.
We advise you to take this in consideration of the otherwise good machine and the multitude of other programs in purchasing.
With very fine fabrics, the W6 has her problems. In fine fabric on fabric edge to start sewing with, is often difficult. Even with a fine sewing machine needle it happens more often that the material is drawn into the machine.
We also find the light used to and much too weak. We have placed an additional lamp.
The foot pedal is unfortunately made of cheap plastic. If this will reduce the purchase price, which may be useful. However, then a few more rubber stopper under the pedal would have been desirable.
Ugly:
What bothers us is the external design or name. The designation workmanship or W6 does not sound very appealing and the colors red and blue, we do not just find sparkling.
As have other brand machines with their great, modern designs and colors have a head start.
SENSE & PURPOSE:
Both W6 machines are for the "normal" hobby household use very suitable. They process well also "more solid" substances. But if you like bags, backpacks and the like sew and to be happy times accesses rigid canvas, which should favor the purchase of W6N5000. The machine has just a better penetrating power than the N3300 Exclusiv.
For both machines we had in the test but with bags and Co. is a problem that the distance between feed dog and presser foot but unfortunately is very low. Especially when sewing on belt buckles on the outside of a stable and relined bag the layers of fabric were so high that the height of the presser foot is no longer simply enough.
We can make a statement about the customer service, unfortunately, hardly. We have contacted the service by email. A nice feedback email we received surprisingly after about 2hrs .. In it we were a selection of days reported with Phone Customer Service and promised a more punctual recall. We decided on a Wednesday at 14.00 clock. However, the promised phone call from W6 remained aus.- Very sad.
PLUSES:
Upgrading a W6 sewing machine is not expensive at all. Worth working online shop you get the flat bed on request special sewing feet and inexpensive accessories such as. Because sewing makes it twice as much fun.
Commercially available, cheap plastic coils can be well used in the W6. From metal coils but one should refrain. (At this point, thanks for the tip! See comment)
The sewing machine is -How many sewing machines this Preisklasse- from a lot of plastic but which has been well made. Despite the plastic, the machine is also stable at full throttle. A foul plastic smell we could not find even after hours of use.
The W6 sewing machine offers a very large range of accessories. Compared to other sewing machines in this price range, was hard to find a larger selection that was included in the delivery the same.
CONCLUSION:
Those who opt for a W6 is a good budget and (limited) Hobby machine purchase with beautiful embroidery programs and lots of accessories. There is certainly no sewing machines in this category sewing so good, so beautiful and many programs offer, mitliefern such a large accessories and 10 year guarantee on the mechanics and electronics promise!
Much closer and DIY Artists should incidentally equal access to W6 5000 N. (Note Restricted sewing bulky bags.) It's worth !!! The many sewing programs (323!) And the many accessories, simply just make fun and easy to use. Even beginners won't the W6 3300 N and N are W6 5000 can only be recommended. Both Sew quietly are able extremely easy to use when needed very, very slowly sewing.
