The entire review read, took me nine minutes and eight seconds. If you take such a long time, it would be very happy. : D
It is, incidentally, only my opinion. I am neutral towards any genre and am working mostly with the single player of a game.

Gameplay:
Control:
As such, our protagonist manages quite dynamic. The controls are very direct and I did not notice any delay. For me the key assignment occurs some Spanish. For example, the blocking enemy attacks on the same key as our standard attack. Pressing the left stick (with which one also runs) in the direction from which the attack is coming and still at the right time the attack button can be pretty much block all attacks and counter. Questionable, but perhaps intentionally.
Game mechanics:
All in all, you go about to see an Hackn Slay. So we suggest us the majority of the game by robot hordes and get this points and objects. With gedropten objects we z. B. can fill our health or the blade mode. The points serve our level. Even small Schleich Parts as actually common for the series, could be found. But they were also more for the purpose of fans and no useful game element. At the end of each level you get typically Japanese heaps of points that can be beat when you need it. Therein lay the long-term motivation of the title. The campaign lasts namely between three and eight hours. Depending on the style of play and how many calls you listen to. Pure Gameplay about three hours.
Combat system:
Two different attack types are available. In the normal rectangle and triangle to the heavy attack. Which can be combined depending on the Button Smashing. During the Gekeile fills the bar for the blade mode. Which can be activated on L1. Here everything is in slow motion and you even beats like in Fruit Ninja around. This sounds strange, but it must be anyway used and indeed at stake. In battered opponents can use the blade mode rauszureißen their hearts and so again to fill all of the bars ^^ How I blocks already explains in control. Those were times the floorplans. The combat system is namely built up such a complicated that even HNS professionals find a challenge.
Upgrade System:
By fighting to obtain points with which the character can be pimped. So you are constantly better and can do in trying again even more points and pimp over and over again until you play at any level reaches the S-Rank. To buy there are then new combos, more Health, longer blades mode, etc.
Difficulty:
Five different difficulty levels to choose from. I like most of the middle and chosen as a well-balanced game, it became increasingly difficult. Hard Mode I would have even imagined, but very difficult to be a bit too big for me. Because you really need to practice long and tune our Japanese.
Conclusion:
The gameplay is clearly a strength of the title. The controls are very complicated, but why not bad. After one or two hours of pure play second everything should go knock. The combat system is well balanced and the HacknSlays's really fun. Although towards the end it gets extremely difficult, but who takes the time and level up, has no problems there too. In conclusion, I can say games should be fun and that's given here. Would be better, but does the job.

Story:
Action:
In the role of Raiden we protect the prime minister of an African country. While we rumcruisen cozy with the limo, surprise us with an attack Desperado Enforcement. A guy named Sam forces us to watch how we have failed. In the ensuing battle, we lose an eye and as if it were not enough even an arm. The situation seems hopeless and long lost, but it did not end
Staging:
What I do not first know and pleasantly surprised me was the absolutely hot staging. I really love it when games do not take it seriously and make ever even ridiculous. Gotta have seen themselves.
Humor:
Also I was surprised by the humor. Cliches and inanities are available in heaps. Not that I do not like to laugh, but games and movies rarely manage to make me really laugh. Metal Gear Rising has managed.
Conclusion:
The highlight here is not the draft but the humor. He has convinced me and bears definitely fun to play.

Atmosphere:
Soundtrack:
The soundtrack in my opinion is nothing you will download and during the ride sounds. But he underscored in this game properly, Japanese, ridiculous mood. He is mainly made up of a combination of faster DnB and Heavy Metal.
Map design:
Yes, the map design I sags, is dismissed. The environment is so uncreative and ugly. I've rarely seen so. Everywhere only look the same, gray skyscrapers and colorless palm trees. Exceptions prove the rule, because the Japanese garden around the beginning of the last third of the game has given me very much.
Conclusion:
Much there not to write in this category. The soundtrack is cool and fits exactly into the sci-fi setting, but the environment is not at all boring. That could be a lot better.

Technology:
Engine:
Visually, the engine is based more on PS2 games. Mainly affects what objects. Only the characters look detailed and horny. Now comes the big selling point: The environment is almost completely destroyed. Only Mapbegrenzungen can not by itself sabers. Since the Frostbite engine looks old. ^^
Sound:
The sound is clear. The location is unfortunately bad. So with surround system you are this time not at an advantage. More horny are the effects. The fall during the fighting. Blade strokes and battle roars were well edited. All the more mixed bad, because all in all the pops sound not really. Who wants to try his new studio headphones or hi-fi surround sound system, with MGR ill advised. Voices are okay and come as usual from the center.
Scope:
The scope is also fine. The Story Mode is relatively short. Depending on how much you are voice messages and how to play, the first Run takes about three to eight hours. After that you can, as already mentioned, pushing the upgrade further and repeat level, improve, etc. Not for me, but fans of the genre will find its charm. In addition, there was still some other mode, but since I have not looked inside. : P
Conclusion:
Technically, the title moved on average level. Visual and audio-visual not impressed MGR so, but it works. This must be a game count nowadays high because most are so bugged without end.

Overall rating:
Highlights include the gameplay, the humor and an appropriate soundtrack. Anyone looking for a mix of these points is so well served. In any other point to Metal Gear Rising joins in midfield. I am sure that this game takes fans, but all in all already there are better games.

For Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance from me it 66/100 points.
The product thus gets a 4 star rating and differs slightly from the average. Alternatives in the genre HacknSlay would God of War or Remember Me. On the product page you can find also reviews by me .;) I hope I could help in the purchase decision, and I would still be happy about a positive feedback. : P
