Detective story, relaxation novel. Vargas's style is flexible, easy, the crazy and very endearing. Here Vargas abandons his hero Adamsberg and replaces it with Kehlweiler Ludwig, a friend of the past Adamsberg heavy, marked by the Second World War, an obsessive and determined man. Kehlweiler discovered near a Parisian bench, a piece of human bone amid dog excrement. Begins an investigation that will lead the hero to Port-Nicolas, where he discovers the identity of the murder victim and the guilty. It's like all Vargas, taking, well written, a bit easy at times but not enough to be boring, and the outcome is still somewhat surprising.
