All this is, unfortunately, been blown away in the present CD. Perhaps here the personality was just too strong wegproduziert, but perhaps the fatigue that to dwell here in place of vitality and happiness of live performances is unmistakable, due to the stress and a hasty production.
This is most evident in the songs "My Same" "New Shoes" and "Mr. Curiosity" that were produced for the new CD. If you listen to them in a direct comparison to the live performances of USFO, it is believed to be listening almost another singer. Where is the sensitive tenderness, the touching delicacy and fragility remained in "Mr. Curiosity"? Where is the radiance, freshness and joy, where the little geniuses and artifacts that made the live shows of Lena to an entertaining enjoyment of art and at least partially also still do, if you follow the appearances in various television formats?
That which is everywhere praised at Lena, their authenticity (I would rather say: vivid naturalness), she could not take all of the CD. Too bad.
One lesson should be that the production of a really good CD takes longer than a week or two. And an appeal to the producers: Let Lena but his Lena. Then it also in the next CD, which will hopefully, back to life (he). One makes the album certainly clear: there is still much room for improvement - please draws from the next album, because Lena has the makings of a lot more.
About the individual songs and their own quality and Proper was here quite a bit, as I find written, therefore only this: good songs are the alpha and omega of a good singer career. With the selection of their songs at USFO Lena has proven flair for the right songs. Unfortunately, the present new songs all come and how I do not find, including satellite or Bee on the quality of "My Same", "Diamond Dave", "Mouthwash", "New Shoes" or "Mr. Curiosity" approach. For Lenas future as a singer will be crucial if it finds the songwriter who can supply you the right material, or better yet, if she learns even to write good songs.
One more thing: compare the slope of so many reviewers and critics, musicians and artists together and categorize, always probably dates from an accountant brain. Whether Lena is too much or too little Kate Nash or Stefanie Heinzmann in it if something is imitated, if the English so good or bad as a construction worker-English is ... Such questions really only interested in people who have never learned music hearing without being biased.
