The original to my TV (purchased in mid-2009) the BN59-00935, an absolute bad design in many respects was: the scroll wheel in the center was difficult to operate and the backlight for the keys was automatically turned on and the vibration sensor so fine-tuned that it enough to walk along beside the coffee table, the lighting was concerned. Thus, the lighting was almost continuous, and the operation was eating batteries a month clock.
The 00938 is fully compatible with my TV and a button with which you can draw up the lighting in general. The purchase price therefore should pay for the medium term by the savings in batteries.
