Here but now my cell phone review:
I had here before the little brother / Y530 predecessor, of which I was very pleased. Huawei offers a lot with its phones. At first glance, even when Y550: LTE and quad-core processor is not a bad story, at first sight for the current price.
But I like not a few things compared to Y530.
Nevertheless, first to the advantages:
LTE (telecom contract D1) works, and for faster surfing that's a funny story. In addition, the mobile phone is generally very fast, the installed hardware to be proud of. This is where some racing games, where do other, more expensive handsets limp.
The Huawei's proprietary surface brings with very beautiful designs; to invite its own launcher, thus becomes superfluous. As should be something for every taste.
There is a greatly simplified interface that is also suitable for senior citizens, this I have so seen in any other mobile phone brand.
A big plus are the replaceable battery, and the ability to use a micro-SD card to memory expansion, up to 32GB (my 8GB card has been properly detected).
The battery lasts under normal use for a whole day, which is not bad for the price. The Y550 beherscht App2SD, a very large and big plus. Simply save all the apps on your phone, and then change the location to "SD card". Music and photos are then saved on the SD card, the apps then have direct and quick access.
Bluetooth 4.0 is also on board, as well as an FM radio receiver.
Neutral:
GPS works just so-so. For the price range that is normal. Because there is no depreciation.
The built-in keyboard is not at all, because you have to install something else about it, but thanks to the Play Store no problem .The individual letters are too narrow to tap so clearly can. Since the Swype function can rip out anything.
The built speaker is OK, but to jubilation storms I do not carried away. Volume is there, but the sound itself is something tinny.
The camera is slightly better than the Y530. But not really suitable for serious photos. Snapshots and Facebook photos in it, nothing more.
No NFC.
SAR value according to FCC: 0,74w / kg.
Micro-SIM card.
Negatives:
the home button strip only responds to every other oppressor, the back button I have to press always twice, it did not work.
the phone has a strange backcover that over Everts on the sides. The mobile phone is so clumsy in his hand. In addition, it works by also harder than it really is. With another sleeve but then comes a small brick. The Y530 is designed much more pleasing.
My Hauptmäkelpunkt: the display. Has 854 x 480 pixels (218 ppi). With an AMOLED display with high contrast can be so endure a low resolution, but with the built-IPS panel can be buckling. Even with a slight tilt the display shadowed immediately, you have to look really getting right on it. Even in some games that use tilt, it is tiring to look longer at the display. And everything always seems slightly out of focus, especially writings. Games are still ok compared even.
Maybe it would have helped to entspiegeln the display surface. But here is reflected in even in low light everything.
Conclusion: yes, but. The hardware performance as far as the processor is really impeccable. Since the Y550 provides great cinema. But what good is it if the rest at best, offers lower middle class? LTE brings it but just when I want to surf a lot. But if do already after 5 minutes the eyes when reading a normal message page hurt, I do not need LTE. Who has an LTE contract, and has lost its main mobile phone, finds the Y550 at least a temporary and inexpensive replacement. But who else will be with this mobile phone the audience, do not open up to me. In Germany, the LTE contracts are still far too expensive. In Asia, that's different. Since all the mountain villages with low surf and LTE Flatrate because the Y550 might make sense. From me there is thus blurred 3 stars, the whole package is not true in my eyes.
