With heart and mind!

Who has Jackson Browne has on the shelf not only because of individual hits like "Take it easy", "Stay" or "Lawyers in Love", but appreciate him for many years and learned to love, which must simply purchase this album and it assessed positively ! Here someone is at work, the music still makes the heart, far from attributes such as "chart-oriented" or "real hit"! Those looking for something that should not waste any second of this disc (but has probably anyway not up to this Rezi "lost")!

His latest album "Time the Conqueror" I liked very well - "Standing in the breach" is still a notch above! Happen on a planet where every day incredible tragedies and on which more and more people encounter with respect and conscience, one might well despair frequently! But whenever the misery appears greatest and the light threatened with exhaustion at the end of the tunnel, this world also shows another face again and it opens suddenly a door! (I hope that did not sound too pathetic, but as - or something like that - is probably the message of this CD!)

"Walls and Doors" is because one of my favorite songs on "Standing in the breach". "There will always be people who build walls - but there will always be people who open the door to you a" A very quiet, but even more a haunting song that I become one of his best songs count at all! Also worth mentioning is the opening track "The Birds of St. Marks" - a typical, melodic JB-song he (if I have researched on the net right) has already written 18 years and now with a new look "shine"! "Leaving Winslow" and "You know the night" are knotless Country numbers that I first felt a bit out of place in this work, but now just "super suck" me! (Sorry, I'm Bayer)

A kit for my review was actually clear from the outset: "In Radio's will not make sure a song of this album!" Well !!! Nope, Because of Tom Glass of Bayern3 has yet actually the audacity and puts on his show "Nightlife" last night shortly before midnight "Leaving Winslow" on! I was flabbergasted and really did not want to believe my ears - but as I've already mentioned it: "Whenever the misery greatest appear ...!"

Whether Jackson Browne has problems with this album, winning new fans in itself, remains doubtful. Country, folk, music with heart and lyrics with mind - that sounds to most (especially in Germany) probably anything but interesting! 5 stars from me but there's in any case - and there is not even a sympathy with this point ...
