The case came fast and simple but adequate packaging to (only wrapped in foil). The case is basically self-explanatory: The wire clip on the flap, is hooked into the wire clamps in the middle, which also serves to support, the latter is pulled back, the flap opens and tensions the spring, the wire hanger is in the pendulum that at the rear into the cage hangs hooked. To the pendulum of the bait is attached. Power to create now a rodent bait on, moves the pendulum and latches the clamp found in, flap, trapped rodents, but unharmed.
First, I have it with those recommended by other reviewers classic Nutella and bacon attempts (also because I was afraid the birds would fall into the trap), because that was the easiest to the pendulum, to install the door triggers, unfortunately without success.
Since the rodent is obviously on fat balls, I first tried unsuccessfully to skewer chunks of Meis dumpling. Finally, I have the plastic cap of a small aerosol can up to approx. 1 cm cut, so that with the opening up some kind Fressnapf created. Here Meisenknödel crumbs reingestopft, on the pendulum impaled finished.
To my relief the birds avoid the trap (if I could fly, I would probably not fly in a cage ...) to ensure that I had the birds observed directly after setting up a long time, but did not show any interest.
The next morning we sat in fact the rat in a trap, a day later a larger mouse. The latter was not thrilled that maintained the neighbor's cat lay beside the case and stared at the mouse ...
Case incl. Rodents under excited shrieks thereof packed in a cardboard box, rodent calmed down immediately if carton, drove to the other side of a nearby lake and released rodents. Everything opens with work gloves or the door with a wooden stick, because panicked rodents can bite.
After several days, I can confirm that the birds have no interest in the case continue, but solve worm before the case of ...
Possibly does the case in very young mice do not, who will possibly squeeze through the grid itself. Several times was the food eaten and the case, but may have been the worm. I'm testing with a small case of the same type with a narrower grid.
Conclusion: I can highly recommend the case, only the bait and its attachment must be maybe experiment a bit, because the rodents obviously have different preferences ...
