Here again the available corpus Mozart captured with Columbia in 1967 and 1968: an (almost) complete Sonatas (missing the No. 15 K.533 / 494), also with the Rondo K.485 and both Fantasies K. 397 and 475. A Mozart character, both atypical and discographiquement inevitable and a natural complement (or Mozart alternative, according to records that are already available) to the indispensable Box Warner.
Lili Kraus, of course, is an elegant and sensitive playing with an exceptional sense of balance; but it is mostly a direct pianism, unfussy, no manners, unassuming as always simple, yet overflowing with vitality and never devoid of imagination. With contagious enthusiasm, but also a sense of nuance and musicality omnipresent, it conveys an indescribable passion: that of life, natural, poetry, that of unfailing musical enjoyment.
A pianist who played with heart at your fingertips; absolute musician, to know absolutely.
