Here is my first conclusion:
This version is simple and works. The detection rate is despite my Rhenish stained pronunciation consistently high. Installation and operation were problems. But you should plan some time. I have taken the trouble and extra recognition training (about 30 minutes) performed (with a funny text: How do computer). Technical terms which I often use, are after I once trained the software detected. My correspondence is now significantly faster and error-free from the hand. Too bad that I have to continue to tap my English messages, because this version can not - about 1 point deduction.
100% is the recognition not, but you can correct errors and DNS learns. But that takes time, which I do not always take me and distinguished of hand corrections and changes. Well, I find that the software detects proper names from the context. In the learning mode, it is possible the folder "sent messages" in Outlook and scan "My Documents" folder. DNA determines from its own writing style and stores it in the user profile.
I benuze the software on a fast notebook (IBM P60) with 2 GB of RAM running XP Prof. At the start of the DNA language files are loaded, which lasts about 30 seconds. The menu bar can be hidden and the most important commands are quickly accessible via the keyboard (eg, + on the numeric keypad to (de) activate the microphone). Primarily I use the software in the home office but I have therefore been recorded texts at the airport, in the open-plan office and during a conference call.
The supplied headset is uncomfortable to wear in the long term (the ironing presses). However, it is phonetically so good that I've been using it for my VOIP phone calls. Nevertheless, I'll buy myself permanently to another professional set.
PS: This text was typed by hand - on the living room PC :-) Otherwise I unlearn the tap yet.
