- Press the A and B buttons simultaneously. Do not release it. The LED flashes rapidly and then turns off. Now release the B button while still pressing A.
- Still holding the A button pressed, press three times on button B. The LED will begin to flash continuously. This clears actually codes that may have been previously recorded, and put the remote control mode "programming". Release the A button, you will then no longer press the button, the LED goes out and the remote is ready to learn a new code. You can verify this by performing a simple quick tap on the buttons: this does not turn the diode because no code is registered on any of the 4 buttons (for now).
- If you want to program the A button, press and release the button. After 2 seconds, the LED flashes quickly 3 times on and off: The button is ready to learn. Still holding down the A button, really approaching the remote of your original remote and press your old button for 3 seconds. The universal remote will flash rapidly three times, then go off, then on again continuously. It means that the code has been learned. Release the button A. You will have maintained the A button for the whole procedure. It was then over. If all went well your A button is programmed to your old remote. To program other buttons, it is necessary to reiterate the "learning" of this tutorial, however, without the party resets codes because it clears codes learned about ALL the buttons on the remote.
- Last precision: for one, it replaces SEA brand remote control, HEAD 433-2 model. This model does not appear on the official compatibility list, which can be easily found on the internet with this kind of remote control. But it works well with this model (frequency 433 MHz). The only thing is that normal programming was just opening the door, not close it. I then opened the SEA remote and I found a push button that was not visible, it is a button for programming. When I learning with this button there, everything worked! The remote control now functions as the old one.
