I have bought the app from the Google app store and it works perfectly on our Nexus 4 and Moto G Smartphone. For other devices (or other type of CPU), which are not officially supported, it may be that the image decoding is done in software instead of hardware. This resulted in my Android stick to the fact that the device is very warm and after 30-45 minutes the CPU throttles and the picture strongly jerky. On other mobile phones this effect can also result in that the battery is sucked empty. Desirable would be a wider support for more CPU and GPU types (eg the often built into Android sticks Rockchip CPU). Benefits: + Recording of the current program + Easy to use app + Value for money very good
Disadvantages: + So far little supported devices (or CPU / GPU combinations) + No recording plans for individual shipments (you have to manually start the shots and finish) + No HD (likely intention would make a perfect wireless connection need) + Incompatibilities with some UPnP Apps (then finds no SAT> IP server)
