Works for me not, poor quality

The cable does not work with me. Did it repeatedly plugged in and out and compared to my second cable (4m). In all experiments work my old cable and the new never worked.
I read in the meantime that for 1394a (ie 400Mbit / s Firewire) the maximum specified cable length is 4.5m. This cable here is 5m.
The plugs go very hard one to unplug and not, as with my other cables, which are easy to insert and raced clean.

Whether the cable does not work now because of out of specification length or whether it is due to bad connectors, I do not know, in any case it does not work with my hardware.

Regardless of the technical problem: The cable was originally packed in shrink-wrapped blister, ie it was not a customer in hand and it is not returned goods. Nevertheless, it is greasy / sticky, and not just at one point but ringsrum over the entire length.

Conclusion: For me absolutely useless.

This cable Lindy I have in the meantime purchased Lindy Premium Firewire / IEEE1394 cable, 6 pin to 6 pin connector, 4.5 m, 800 Mbps comp.
In many cases, better quality and it worked perfectly straight away.
