The battery is functioning properly in the Canon EOS 70D. It differs in functionality from the original non-Canon battery (charge status display in%, number of shots, etc). Only the capacitance is smaller (1300mAh vs. Canon battery 1800mAh). For this replacement battery is also considerably cheaper. From value for money I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend this battery.
