I bought me the equipment to the rather moderate 2.4 GHz wireless connection to finally switch to 5 GHz and a few devices from the living room closet to lay on the desk, where they belong.
The indication of the maximum bandwidth is highly theoretical. At first the connection was so bad, that would rather switch to Wi-Fi again.
However, it turned out that the devices are a bit wobbly in the socket. Fixed reingesteckt and locked in one direction, the bandwidth was significantly better.
Because I would have liked a proper grounded plug, which would resolve this issue.
But now this is the absolute maximum case at 200 Mbit / s. And in the same room. However, the outlets do not seem to lie in the same direction, which is a little more difficult the whole.
But please note: you are not on the same fuse, but within the same circuit, ie in the same FI.
That does not automatically mean that the bandwidth would be all over the house in the altitude available. Without phase couplers that will not work on two-FI circles away.
Something rare, but all the more annoying it is that the connection between time times broke away entirely. Lately, however, was no longer observed, which is why I go out of faults in your electricity supply. Similarly, the bandwidth appears to be larger than in the morning in the evening. This suggests such a source of interference, which is in the morning might not have turned.
And now for the good characteristics:
1) The units are really small. Not much larger than the socket itself.
2) The configuration is described very simple and good
3) There are installed gigabit interfaces on both adapters. How often one sees machines to offer that promise 500 Mbit bandwidth and then mitliefern only one Fast Ethernet interface. May help with several adapters, limited at only two but considerably.
4) A whistle I could not perceive yet. Goes well in my tinnitus among ;-)
5) The LED's are using the included software can be switched off (in the living room can be a pain, the Geblinke)
6) In the configuration interface of the Fritz box adapter incl. Bandwidth even displayed.
Anyway, I'm satisfied. In particular, for the price (about 40). One star deduction for the comparatively "low" range and the wobbly plug.
