I ordered the device, to use it with a telecom Internet connection. The telecom own Speedports I found too expensive. The device is made simple and fast, in principle, the only downside is that the name of the access from the letter that you get from Telekom, does not coincide with the data that you must enter when you install the Netgear modems. In the Netgear users login mask field will be prompted for username and password in, the login information of Telekom but are only Anschlusskennung, T-Online number, Benutzersuffix and password. What now, asks as the interested layman ... and without help from the Internet (note irony: you need information from the internet to the internet to run to get to ...) is to be stuck there. Next you have to enter in the username: AnschlusskennungT-OnlineNr (# less than 12) [email protected]
when the T-Online number is less than twelve points.
In Password field then the personal password at T-Online.
This is mentioned in the router's instructions with a single word. Without this knowledge means the modem would have failed. The question is whether we should blame the netgear or telecom ... Anyway, when the device went well, the device does its job well. The wireless range is (at least here) sufficiently and the modem has yet made any problems.
Conclusion: strong buy recommendation if you know how you have to enter its data providers!
