These 12 meters of cable are here in my room needed, which are laid parallel to three network cables, speaker cables and a 230V line. So certain interference / crosstalk are added if necessary. For safety, I have a 15m cable taken, if I still have to rebuild again.
When I connect only one of the sources directly to the projector and the 15m cable is good quality, then I do that directly. In poorer quality cables, there are also problems here already. The first 15m cheap cable was about not doing stable, the second then on, with the two do not differ on the thickness and processing at first glance. A direct connection The first one was cheaper than for 26 EUR only about 17 EUR.
But as it is written, I wanted to switch between the three sources.
Specifically, these are these devices:
1) LG BP420 3D Blu-ray player
2) MacBook Pro (2011, 17 ')
3) Avermedia Home Free Duet F200 TV streaming device
The units are all right, nothing great, plugged into this HDMI Switcher:
"CSL - 3D Ready / Full HD 1080p HDMI Switch (Flexible) - 3 Port Switcher | 3 x IN / OUT 1 x | Dolby True HD | intelligent switch - automatic and manual changeover"
Since the switch foolishly as output has a cable connector and no coupling to the unit, I also need this "premium" HDMI connector:
Sunshine Tronic Premium HDMI connector | clutch - clutch
It will be added two interruptions or interference sources, among which the signal quality suffers again. This compilation now I got no connection:
HDMI source => switch => connector => 15m cable => Projectors
Therefore, the acquisition of the amplifier "CSL - HDMI Repeater / Amplifier / Signal Amplifiers |. 2x HDMI jack including wall mounting kit | Full HD 1080p | UHD 2160p (4k) | supports up to 35m"
I have the amplifier by the switch instead of the HDMI connector built and it was enough for a small gain adjustment on the amplifier and then I got a stable connection with Blu-ray playback in all three sources.
HDMI source => switch => Amplifiers => 15m cable => Projectors
In use, this is an older HDMI cable from CSL Computer with the former designation "15m high-speed (HQ) HDMI cable 1.4a (Ultra HD) with Ethernet (network) Real 3D / xvColor and Deep Color / ARC - CEC / Standard 1.4a / 1080p | 216 "
Because it works so perfectly I wanted a little further test, I still have lying around a second new HDMI cable:
"Direct Cable 15m Ultra HD High Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet 1.4a / 2.0 compliant 3D 4K ARC Full HD 1080p / 2160p"
I then the whole trial basis so as rebuilt, because I have to bridge a longer distance for a theater project:
HDMI source => switch => connector => old 15m cable => Amplifiers => 15m new cable => Projectors
In sum, therefore, 30 meters of cable, in the middle of the amplifier plus two noise sources with the switch and the connector. Also worked flawlessly.
What did not work, were those configurations in which the amplifier was located at the beginning or end of the route:
HDMI source => switch => connector => old 15m cable => 15m new cable => Amplifiers => Projectors
HDMI source => switch => Amplifiers => old 15m cable => connector => 15m new cable => Projectors
In other words: If you want a long distance bridge (there were 30m) and has an additional switch and adapter in use, then you have the track in probably equal parts (here about 15 m) split and mount the amplifier in between, but that's not surprising.
As for the processing of the device and the instructions, I can not complain.
I'm curious how the long-term test will turn out, all in all, so far a strong buy recommendation!
