YES for APPLE fans, NO for any other!

My shift was from the Lumia 820 to the iPhone 5, since WP as yet had no ongoing Whatsapp and Facebook app.
Now, after several months of iPhone 5 I know the pros and cons of the phone and try to explain this.

APPEARANCE or changes to other iPhones
The 5 Series features an entirely new look. While this is fine, but also more vulnerable. I have a lot more quickly get scratches and dents than the 4S. Thus, it looks fast from not so nice. With an envelope one counteracts course, but the iPhone takes the elegance.

DISPLAY
The display is sharp, vivid and bright. There is nothing negative. The magnification I really like, larger but it should not be. The display itself gets 5 stars from me!

FASTER?
Here I must admit that Apple has done a lot. Apps launch quickly and everything runs smoother than before.
But that falls on only compared to the 4S / 4, otherwise this would not be a reason to buy for me. Who this course is important, which is schonmal well served here.

CAMERA
The camera is super. She makes beautiful photos, in PC-compatible quality ;-) Once it gets dark, however, also recognizes the camera, despite flash, not much. As I had expected better. This is so not for people who like to take pictures while celebrating.

BATTERY
The battery is not worth mentioning good or bad. He holds exactly one day at 1/3 brightness and normal use. In a little less use 1.5 days and with intensive use up Nachmiitags / evening.

RECEPTION
The reception is probably less disaster than the 4s, but not particularly good. I often "No service" and where others have no problems with the same network. UMTS reception has become even worse, even compared to its predecessor model. But for Whatsapp and SMS it loose enough and calls should not be a problem, that's why I value this is only slightly negative.

SOFTWARE or Apple's philosophy
Thus, a total of actually already convincing, so not worth 2 stars. BUT ...
What annoys me is that there is nothing new. If you buy an Android Phone make watching the new apps and their interaction with the hardware a lot of fun. When Apple everything remains the same. There are no features, as finally an FM radio, or widgets. Bluetooth is available, but can not be used to transfer files.
Everything must coincide with Apple, you need to use iTunes, etc. I know that while, yes, but it is very quickly limited and boring with the iPhone. LTE is again a story: It has indeed LTE, but only as APPLE wants that, so only at Telekom. In short: You can not get get the most out of the hardware with the software because Apple prevents this.

CONCLUSION
If you want a reliable phone, which is also often carried in a sheath, is served here well. If you got along well with iTunes, that's no problem. But for me, Apple is no longer what it once was. There is no innovation and many features that other smart phones already can, there's just not, even if it were one probably hardware technology .. A change from 4S I do not recommend other iPhones so, if you want to stay with Apple.

I know this review is very biased, and even through the Apple philosophy fails so badly, but even that is important because it stays in place, the price-performance ratio. I prefer to pay a little less, and then get a smartphone, making the most out of hardware and software and not "throttled".
