The 'new' songs, I do not want to get rid of a lot of that have been sufficiently analyzed and picked apart in advance of the other reviewers - the bottom line is just: finally a melodious AOR disc with decent a lot of power, would also stylistically right after ' Raised on radio can come '.
What impressed me even more and thus also makes buying the double-CD edition are the inevitable re-recorded classic Journey. Safe to say the purists "..neeeeh, not Perry .... not the 70 Flair ...". However, I say, as if the old rags had all washed with Perwoll :-) recorded with an enormous amount of pressure and finally produces times decency - because there are no Bassgemantsche or slurred Bassdrumwummern beyond the 15Hz frequency. And there was nothing rearranged thank God, a self-destruction would somehow! Finally I have these classics (the selection itself is already extremely successful) SO on CD that no wishes remain unsatisfied. While I have heard the old Greatest Hits and then run these refresh it now with me again at Powerplay duration, alternating with the studio recording.
Conclusion: sounds like Journey, looks - well - not quite as usual like Journey - BUT: That's Journey, and how! Thank you for this double album!
