I am an athlete, have different sports also operated höherklassig. Mostly 7 days per week. First dumbbells with 15 First gym with 19, in which I was an almost daily basis. Am now mid-30s and have recently my last gym terminated because I anyway mostly full body exercises (pushups, pull-ups, dips, squats, side support ...) prefer and more sport-specific and health-supportive coaching. So I'm not a bodybuilder with a penchant for muscle isolating exercises that should be applied in my eyes just in physiotherapy for balancing underdeveloped "opponent". To go to the gym to make up on the treadmill, I have never understood anyway.
I would my physical condition currently called "athletic". BMI, which says but little about fat-muscle ratio, is 22. I use as weights normally about 16-kilo dumbbells (curls for biceps, triceps, shoulder presses, rows, squats, etc.) and as a barbell just over 30kg (rowing, French Curls, Since then and neck lift etc.). For push-ups and squats I have an additional Indo Board concerned (any other Balance Board is, of course, but I am going even longboard in the summer and use the thing in winter and in bad weather as "methadone") to train my balance. At home I have a barbell with 35kg and two dumbbells 7kg each. Furthermore, there is an exercise ball and a chin-up bar is available.
I have therefore quite a lot ways to keep myself fit at home. But problem is certainly always the motivation, the evening after work (found mostly sitting place and I am rather late - and then once hungry - at home ...) to train and not equal something to eat and then herumzulümmeln on the couch.
As you become accustomed to a certain eating habits later in life, I eat quite a lot, which would mean that I would grow quickly, I would operate less sport. Just because I am inclined in the cold seasons too much carbohydrate-rich diet.
At the moment I train twice a week, however, activity-independent basketball and go running alongside (formerly approx 45min, lately more 1.5h at about 5-6min Pace), as far as I can do it. The "But" of the game: I think that people who think they can just by the use of the program extremely decrease or only way to carry out a complete way of life, could have a problem. For this it is not intended. It is only a supplement. Not more. Maybe it will work as an incentive. But the weaker self you have to defeat itself.
So I'm probably a slightly different type than many of the previous Rezensienten, about my pre-conditions and what you should consider in my review too. I know almost all the featured exercises since my childhood and have a lot of them for many years carried out up to four times a week. So I know what I'm doing and how I'm doing it right. And I see the problem that the game can not understand 100%, if that's what makes the subject in front of the television, now is good or bad for the body. In my mind, there is the possibility that as many if not performed correctly even injuries or back injuries supplies. What you should know. So I think that it would make sense to spend alongside or before a certain time with experienced trainers in gyms or sports clubs so that you can perform the exercises correctly. However, this applies in principle for all recreational sports and not only for this game.
Technically: For me, all sensors were immediately recognized well. There have been no disturbances. Who has what, should return the sensors immediately - if one thinks that it is up to the sensors. I think you should keep in mind that it is still dealing with plastic parts with incorporated technology that are naturally sensitive and quick to break down, even if they are treated in such a way as it is provided. But one has warranty. Amazon I'm used to in such cases, always good service, so I would not be afraid if one of the sensors had any quirks.
Feedback virtual trainer: Some exercises I take this feedback on my exercises, in the other hand I know that I run the movement well and would comment artificial "intelligence" overhear cared when I feel as inappropriate. The heart rate monitor, I find as a guide instrument well, because you can decide by whether one should more or less effort. As already mentioned: I use the program rather than motivator and training planners. Of course, it should then also function technically as described on the package, even if you would not need it in all respects. My version does at the moment but everything as described and in this respect is in order.
Flex tape: I have the comments received to Flexband here and my parallel a silver and a golden Theraband (approx 10 euros) ordered. The included belt actually relatively low resistance, just for men. About the accusation that it comes quickly broken or brittle I can not say anything - but I use it anyway hardly well, since I now the original Thera bands with high to very high resistance and continues even dumbbells (see above) have.
Other criticisms: There are certainly criticisms that have been mentioned by many. Some I registered, I can understand only limited for me but because they are unrecoverable by small adjustments in my eyes. I have for example the online function during exercise, resulting in lower load times, because the program does not want to always connect to the server. Basically my online evaluation is also relatively unimportant. I'll still watch me someday and possibly write here an update / feedback.
Furthermore, I do not use the balance board, because I - can not see any added value - except my current weight. The drawback is that it turns off again and I had to sign it again, I did not so. With the remote control, I'm gone from the start to keep them at Kardioübungen in hand and short press in strength exercises before and after each exercise on the A Button. Then they do not shut down. Each charging rest between exercises I use for a sip from a bottle of mineral water, which is opened next to me. That is why I feel the load times neither too short nor too long. Anyone who follows the high intensity exercises and with high resistance, for which they are not too long in any case ...
Summary: For me, right. If I have no desire to go in the rain running and pending just no training in another sport, then I throw short to the TV and get a sweat well. I can adapt with the appropriate tools, the intensity depending on your preference. The function of the motivator (variety) met by the program in my opinion. And I bought it, too. For 40 to 50 euros recommended in this very function (Current Price). For 89/99 euros (still in many electronics store) you should leave it. With my existing equipment it replaced for me loose the gym, as I have used it so far.
The one star deduction because:
"Fun": It's not a game. I have more fun at Mario Kart, NBA Jam, Rock Band ... but it helps me to have fun at my training and earned thus still very good four star.
"Game overall": I know that it should be a subjective evaluation and for my desires is the game as it is, almost perfect. But I just also see the problems that many people expect too much of it and do not see the risks involved. Nevertheless, a very good product.
