Easypix EasyPad Junior 17.8 cm (7-inch) Tablet PC (Rockchip 2918 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 4GB HDD, Android OS) black / silver (Personal Computers)

Customer Review

So easy the device is otherwise also nix ... OS update to Android 4.0.4 worked immediately.

Processing / Case:

The tablet is really good in the hand, unfortunately, the housing has a relatively sharp edge and all around, one can not but cut the price ...

It's for my taste also not easy with 500g (I myself have an Acer Iconia A700, which is very difficult), so I would press a child from the age of 6-7 years, maybe in the hand.

The protective sleeve is a nice gimmick and it fully serves its purpose.

Touchscreen:

The chosen resolution of the touch screen is far too low, the picture is clear pixelated, small font looks bad, reading makes no fun.

The lighting is miserable, you have the right and left highly visible halos, even if I do not that with the Acer A700 See also the maximum brightness
just a very bright screen is dark again by about 1/4, the contrast is poor, the black level even worse, there are no black but anthracite, the colors
act too pale, yet the color reproduction is incorrect. So neither neutral nor gaudy.

The service is okay, the touch screen recognizes the inputs, no cause for great criticism.

Note: The screen flickers, in which welchsel between two static images (eg surfing), strong, one sees right bright lines which disappears after about 1-2 seconds, and that the top quarter and the bottom quarter ever sometimes even in dark images on the entire screen.

In moving images in games does not fall to or does not exist, I suppose it also is not on the screen but on the graphics unit used,
However, there is one reason why the instrument should be sent back.

Here, for comparison, the pixel density per inch (the higher the better):

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 "169.55 PPI

Easypix EasyPad Junior 4.0 142.86 PPI

IPhone 4 326 per inch

Samsung Galaxy S2 217 PPI

Performance / Gaming:

The CPU is a single-core copy Rockchip 2918 1.2GHz (ARM Cortex A8)
Similar chips came for example in a smartphone called Samsung Galaxy S for use, it is simply a bad joke which for the
Price in this device plugged. This processor is by today's perspective, simply not to lock in a tablet.

"A Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100 is about five times as fast as far as the pure CPU performance
and almost four times as fast as far as the GPU and gaming performance. "(SMARTBENCH 2011) (Depending on the benchmark factors vary but it always ends up at 3-5 times faster)

The processor is just enough so for simple WAP or Smartphone optimized pages.

Normal sites (Desktop Mode) can not be operated or displayed or take forever (up to 30 sec.) Is loaded up everything, as an example I will mention the page PCgames.de. Here jerky everything only the appliance simply is not clear. For example, if a page graphic effects on HTML basis applies such as crossfading effects in banners,
since then is simply nothing more and one is glad when the browser goes to.

The game Clay Jam (free on Android Market) just walking underground, although you can still play but you have hangers and a greatly reduced frame rate, and
Only delayed or not at all implemented by hardware overtaxing each command.

The play videos in Full HD is because the CPU supports hardware-sided decode no problem.

4GB memory is enough but at the price simply not enough. Expansion with microSD is possible.

Sound of the speakers:

For the size of the tablet definitely good! But no depth and no heights, it just sounds tinny, a Samsung Galaxy S2 here has less volume and better sound ...
The volume is however annoying turn up loud to the pit rattle ... how to design something remains a mystery to me ...

Software / Apps Manufacturer:

Simply nothing of what would really help in the child-friendly setting, you have to like any other tablet also AndroidMarket even try to find the part
child-friendly set up. I recommend this place as any other tablet also "Kids Place". This Monster Button is just really poor ...

Running Time:

The device must be constantly charged after about 3 hours of game fun is over without WLAN.

Conclusion:

Please do not on the fall here and Easy Junior in the name can be found.
Every other tablet works just as well for a child's.

-bad processing
-bad picture
-Extremely short battery life
-high weight in comparison with other models
-Children Apps unusable

It is not worth the purchase price, rather 50 more to spend on it to buy a brand unit.
Or another favorable tablet.

The hardware is just too bad ..
