The headlamp Zweibrüder 7498 LED Lenser H7R is much brighter than any other headlamps with whom I have compared them. I've bought to stumble guessing at risk when walking at dusk or in the dark a little less me. Essentially you serves this purpose quite well, the broadest in the setting focus, medium brightness you have to see enough light to also along forest trails enough. The lamp, however, has just at Lauefen with jumps also a weakness and this is the very weak joint designed for height adjustment of the light cone. The joint has several positions where the setting is fixed, the catches are too weak to the vibration enough resistance to provide at a jump. All in all a great lamp, the joint is the weak point in normal Lauefen (on the road) disturbs probably not, not really recommendable for cross country.
