It is a beautiful book that makes you want to follow the footsteps of Helen Keller and her admirable teacher, Annie Sullivan. Since reading this, I plan to work in contact with the blind because I realize they have much to teach me. This book is accessible to all and encourages us to achieve our dreams and to help others achieve theirs. Annie Sullivan is a very good example to follow, she dedicated her life to Helen Keller. If only there were fellow teachers to Annie! Unfortunately they are rare, but they exist nonetheless. Helen Keller wrote a book in memory of its liberating Annie Sullivan, unfortunately it has not been reissued since by Payot editions.
