Bioshock 2 uses the same gameplay and the same universe as the first episode.
The game features some novelties, but nothing has revolutionized the codes laid by the first Bioshock.
The mechanics of the games are basically the same, though piracy is much less wheezing than in the first game, and for the use of plasmids (attack power) that is much more fluid.
Nevertheless there is no big news, arming proposed being the same as in the first, and the bestiary evolves very little.

Nevertheless the atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, the cited underwater Rapture remains a great environment and rediscovers the places explored in the first game, as new areas of the quoted.
The scenario, if a notch below that of bioshock first name, remains well above a majority of FPS scenario and video games in general.
Last positive: a great soundtrack, like in the first game for both the voice acting sounds. The music of the game is simply excellent and well beyond the scope of the background, it really takes part in the immersion and is part of the fantastic atmosphere of this game.
