I used this robot 2 times since the beginning of the week for thorough cleaning (cleaning method) of 2 parts. While not being a natural ordered it was not blocked and returned each time with himself in his "niche". Actually, I made the effort to clear each room to clean easily movable objects or furniture effort it takes to do anyway when using a non-robotic vacuum cleaner. I also repeatedly used for specific aspirations (spot mode): the robot is placed on a place to clean it travels describing the area of a circle about 1 meter in diameter.
In short the robot is particularly simple to set up and use. It is also very effective. I would add that, at least at the beginning of use, I admit find a play value, such as for an electric train ...
Seriously: it significantly reduces the time to devote to the household, without reducing it to zero since it takes a minimum of preparation of the piece (or pieces) to be cleaned unless the house is always tidy. By cons in fashion spot I do not see the interest in relation to the use of a conventional vacuum cleaner Wireless that has constantly at hand.
Anyway I do not think we can call this extra vacuuming robot (which would be very expensive as extra): on the contrary, he does most of the household, but keep a vacuum cleaner classic (or a simple broom) because it generally remains locations that the robot can not reach. In particular, it can not clean the stairs.
This robot comes with an accessory to 2 positions. In one there is a virtual wall to prevent it from entering a room without a door; in this case it is placed in the recess of the nonexistent door. In the other position there is a lighthouse ("lighthouse" emitting an infrared signal, as the basis of charging) arranged to guide from one room to another and facilitate its return to the charging base. This accessory works with 2 LR14 batteries (not included). It has no switch, but it is active only when the robot is in operation. If you do not use this accessory for cleaning, it is best to remove the batteries.
Maintenance is also very simple: just include pull-vider- for the dust bin and clean the brushes and filters that are easy to disassemble. Also 2 comb accessories are provided to clean the brush.
The manual recommends changing filters after 2 months of regular use. So I purchased on the Amazon website a set of 6 3 side brushes and filters, so I am equipped at least until early 2016. The price is 29 euros, which does not seem excessive to me.
The operating noise does not seem to me superior to that of a regular vacuum cleaner but more important than that of Rowenta silence. However it is in principle not a problem since most of the time we made it work in his absence.
Also I find that the power of the robot is just 30 watt (22Vx1,25A) which seems rather low, but I think this low power is compensated by the operating time. As everyone knows energy is the product of power by time.
Finally, as I am interested in the technique, I was intrigued by the "Dirt Detect" feature that, "when dust is detected, a cleaning model with persistent passage is launched." Indeed there is no dust detector as such. But it is possible that the optical sensors tray filling are used for this purpose.
