Thank you to our Japanese friends have reissued this wonderful Verve album "Blues A Plenty.
The septet Hodges is a mini orchestra "Ellington" since such find: Ben Webster (ts) Billy Strayhorn (p), Jimmy Woode (b) and Sam Woodyard (d).
The other two accomplices are not the least: Roy Eldridge (tp) and Vic Dickenson (ps).
Everything is good in this album: blues, ballads and swing.
