They are to my knowledge, "highly reliable" in time, and more robust.
All that being said the overall gain in transfers is not evident USB3, nothing really spectacular for USB3 ... You can not really say it is actually faster on .. .. comprehensiveness, compared to its predecessor "NO EXTRA SLIM".
The advantage of the model: "NO SLIM" in 1TB and 2TB, this is actual feel HIS SHELL is a strength "foolproof".
This WD ULTRA - EXTRA SLIM is overall a pleasure to use every day,
and it appears to me quite compact and reliable without a single proper use.
So I give it 5 stars because I had not, for my part, no particular disappointment product.
It is aesthetically attractive it is an undeniable success. Let's be very clear, it is very "pretty"! Aesthetic "Fun!" Despite its apparent .. .. fragility.
It will last you a long time? .. The big question on all hard drives.
