Many situations remain timeless: the domestic scene early in the book where Martine complains to live with a drunkard who spends all, regardless of her and her four children. The terrible Sganarelle cares madly and eventually beat his wife who insults. But Martine will have his revenge. Do not they say that revenge is a dish best served cold? You will see that indeed it is cold and very spicy, as this terrible husband, a lover of the bottle, will graze the gallows! In parallel, a beautiful love story between Leander and Lucinda suffering -Géronte- interests of a father who will soon be deceived, leaving love triumphed.
A story for laughing, but which features timeless truths emphasizing human flaws. And to paraphrase Paul Benichou in "Morales of the great century", one can see in the work of Molière "judicious and medium critical for all human excess, coming off an exceptionally vivid painting."
I pride myself in the interest of this collection does not specifically seek to make profit by changing pages a few years later, that all must buy the book (common in publishing). It is inexpensive, very solid (I use it for several years and the book is intact). The introduction of Molière is illuminating, the record-end comprehensive book, with an array of well crafted dramatic progression, which tracks the milestones of the room with his twists.
So I highly recommend reading or watching the theater: a good comic moment!
