For my basement stair lighting is the perfect solution. My lower staircase (about 5m) is now illuminated perfectly with this Strip and motion. The light color and color rendering, however, are not to be compared with an ordinary incandescent or halogen lamp. (As with almost every LED lighting I've ever experienced) for permanent living spaces me the color temperature would be too cold and slightly greenish. (Albeit minimal)
