[About my use]
I bought it in order to replace the hard drive in my MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010), which was beginning to show some signs of weaknesses.
Carefree replacement (need small precision screwdrivers for the MacBook anyway) and once the system + + applications restored data, I have seen the changes.
I find myself today in front of a MacBook Pro completely changed is stunning! I never tire of seeing the difference from a PC or a Mac once one just changes the hard drive for an SSD. My MacBook found a second youth: starting 1:12 minute goes to 28 seconds, it reacts much better and applications open extremely quickly.
Again: it's stunning!
[About the crutial MX100 SSD 256GB]
This is the new range, which succeeds the M500 brilliantly. While the MX100 is limited to correct 300MB / s write, in my case I did not need more because the bus my MacBook is limited to SATA II, it does not change the face of the world.
Transfers are extremely fast and operation is effective!
[Verdict? ]
The MX100 series is an excellent range in terms of quality / price ratio. It's (very) good material, not too expensive, reserved for common uses. For those looking for the highest rate of transfers and SATA III, I would advise most other drives can exceed 500 MB / s write. But this again depends on your usage.
In my case, I rediscovered a laptop which I have left because it was much too slow. It is now a pleasure to use. I am very satisfied with this range of SSD.
I'll also take a 500 GB hard drive to replace my iMac (27-inch, Mid-2011) ...
