Some time ago I had already my GU10 halogen bulbs replaced AG102 7 Watt Bulb against Auraglow (from which then mysteriously 6 Watt bulbs were, see review there). Basically, I would have been satisfied with this, they would not have died like flies. So had to spare her, and so I ended up at this es_ist_nicht_alles_osram_was_leuchtet_leuchtmitteln (sorry, that's an insider :-)
Since I the few remaining ends - ansich was still shining Auroglow very good, I want to consider the Osramigen in direct comparison. I have also uploaded the images to compare.
First General: The Auraglow bulbs can not be dimmed, Osram according to the description already. Since I have no dimmer (more) unfortunately I can not give this opinion. The lamps suffer from any noticeable hum or flicker, at least without dimmer operation. In the length they give nothing, both bulbs are slightly longer than normal halogen bulbs. The fit of the base, however, is significantly better than in the Auraglow.
Significance: The Auraglow with their cut aluminum heat sink make a visual impression wertigeren acting Osram against cheap. The Auraglow heatsink is against a sharp edge, which does not apply to the Osram. Osram has, however, in turn significantly heavier, they "hang" quite decent in their sockets. Auraglow emits its light from three LEDs in the OSRAM are sorted Lamp 6 LEDs.
Delay: Since both be nothing blink of an eye, I would say. Who feels this is a problem has probably never experienced the fun with normal energy-saving lamps, which display their brightness to some extent only after what felt like five minutes ...
Light color / brightness / light distribution: these best times look at the uploaded pictures. Osram is not only subjectively brighter, the photos were taken with the same camera settings. Despite a slightly larger opening angle the Osram are lighter than the Auraglow (which already brighter than 50W GU10 halogen lamps mean were at that time). The problem with the hard shadows is the same, however. The light color - compared with the Auraglow - tends more to halogen Warmton, with the usual, gentle slope towards the yellow. Light color is matter of habit and is subject primarily to personal feeling. After a short familiarization I like the color is good, the LG in the study work now but much colder (in Verlgeich to Auraglow earlier)
Price Performance and Conclusion: Osram and Auraglow are to get for similar prices. Auraglow however (not just me) shined in the past with an extremely high failure rate, so that one can say that the investment is there apparently not well spent. To what extent is the time Osram better hires in this discipline show. As with Auraglow but I will review the course of long-term experience to adapt ... Stay tuned ...
