Packing:
The mouse comes in the typical blister. Without scissors and power use can not be opened.
This annoys me, but today is probably consistent with most Prodkten.
Installation:
I use the mouse on a Samsung notebook with integrated Bluetooh and Windows. 7
First of all: There is no additional software necessary, which has me already very happy.
Once you have inserted the batteries, the mouse needs to be switched on via the switch on the bottom.
This one falls also equal to the blue "link" button with Bluetooh icon next to the switch on.
Here was not to be overlooked: With this button do I connect the mouse to the notebook.
On the notebook or PC, the Bluetooth must be switched on. I can then easily "Add device" call me the menu. There, the mouse has not appeared on.
And here's the blue link button is on the bottom for use. (By the way, also very evident in the small manual in German explains)
You press this button for about 2 seconds and a short time later the mouse on the notebook is displayed.
Short yet "Add" button and the installation and detection runs.
After about 5 seconds, I can control the mouse pointer over the new mouse and the installation has been completed.
Ergonomics:
Here I was very surprised how well the mouse is in your hand. So far I had come to expect from a notebook mice permanently slightly cramped hand posture. This mouse is not too small and also has a higher hull. The hand is not completely on, but the mouse is very handy and even after prolonged use, it is not uncomfortable.
To this end, a comparison photo between the Blue Touch 243 and the Logitech MX518.
Buttons and scroll wheel:
The i-Tec Blue Touch 243 has 5 +1 buttons. These are:
Left Mouse Button
Right Mouse Key
The scroll wheel button
Forward button
Reverse button
The sixth button is located centrally on the mouse. In this I'll be right back.
The left and right mouse buttons are large enough and click from any attitude good. But what here is feeling a bit disturbing that the click is already relatively loud. If you click next to another much on the sofa feeling which might be a little disturbed. :-)
The scroll wheel is precise. It does not run "free" but engaged in pleasant increments. The wheel is grooved and therefore also very good depress.
The forward and backward buttons on the left side of the mouse is very handy when browsing.
This might have a tick can be placed further forward. Then they were to achieve more enjoyable.
Now the sixth button on top of the mouse. According to the manual, you can over here set the DPI (guidance accuracy).
There are three levels: 800, 1200 and 1600 DPI.
If you press the button, a red light flashes at different rates. I have found no precise defintion in the manual but it may be assumed that the slowest flashing rhythm of setting 800 dpi equivalent and the fastest for 1600th
But I have to say a more accurate guide I could not see here. But what is noticeable that the pointer speed also increases in parallel with the DPI.
Is perhaps quite handy, but I always work with the same speed, so I think those buttons superfluous.
