This charger meets the criteria 85w MagSafe. However, the LED indicating the charge remains on green even when the charger is not connected to the Macintosh. Curious behavior suggesting a defect in electronics. It has not (yet) damaged my Macbook Pro but because of this detail, I hesitate to use it.
