Like many other Fan's the Turrican series I was there from the very beginning in the Kickstarter campaign and have my team of our web radio portal supporting the project from the outset. Already the first demos one could infer that it is stylistically taken a different path than the first Turrican CD was still 1993, the case. So now I do not mean the 100% virtual production, where previously even real keyboards and synthesizer performed their duties. Much more grip Chris here on time-tested sounds and VST plug-ins back, which were already used in the original or sampled on the Amiga. Sure, of course, were dropped here the memory-related limitations and no loops, but the more channels and stereo effects were used. Nevertheless, I would have liked a bit more variety in the final product in some titles, that which is not resorted back as many times as the original on the same sound set. Commendable, however, is that the have been greatly expanded and meaningful intermediate bosses and bosses just a lot of short songs such as and that you've really missed no Level and no Zwischentune; even the loading music were considered to complete the CD with a nice medley. For an additional bonus tracks specially Film Composer "Vince DiCola" was committed, which contributed to a new Medley Transformers soundtrack. Many Animation fans will still remember the original version and the fact that his composition in the title and end sequence (implemented by "Markus Siebold") took the otherwise musically silent C64 socket line. Overall, there is not much to complain about at the sound selection for most titles this volume, when you consider how much work has been done in the entire TSA project (a total of 81 songs on a whopping 4 CD's and that's just the first of them). Nevertheless, one would here and there maybe a few drums and other sounds can be replaced by more modern, even if the original flair doing a little lost - it worked very well even in the 1993'er version. All in all, you can be very pleased with the end result. I absolutely recommend the album with a good system or on headphones to listen to and to turn the bass on something. Thus, the good mixing and mastering makes it even better noticeable and the soundtrack unfolds its full potential. I stood while listening to some tracks on the Panasonic Discman partial tears to the eyes. I can only recommend the soundtrack all Turrican fan's warmly. True Chris Hülsbeck Fan's are anyway the limited CD box set, or even more collectable as the USB flash drive, autograph cards, T-shirt etc. have. All others should definitely check it out.
