If you are looking for the first CD / MP3 player for your daughter, offering a good quality / price ratio, this should suit you signed Metronic. This is a mid-range product but nonetheless offers full functionality. The player has various play modes (intro, random, repeat or programming). The radio has a stereo analog tuner (knob to turn) FM and AM. MP3 playback via USB stick has proven to be a bit temperamental following types of keys, but works well in general. A good point: it is possible to use it with batteries, but I still have not been able to evaluate autonomy.
