Creative Ziisound D 5 ... a small masterpiece

Delivery was ok, has this time NEN day longer, thus lasted two days ... but ok in the snow in Allgäu .... all good.

The device is very neatly packaged. The sensitive high-gloss pages are additionally secured for stable packaging with protective films. Short description, also in German, is. It is as it is written, "shortly", but perfectly adequate.

Appearance:

Simple, plain, modern, I think. Glossy pages. Iphone ne great support. I have the box are beeen cabinet, so the appearance is not so important for me ... but anyway 1A and top quality!

Connection:

The unit is connected using the supplied power cable incl. Transformer. Then there the possibility of the device with a jack cable also supplied with the output device (cell phone, MP3 player, stereo) to connect. An adapter jack to RCA is not there. I already do not need him, but would be for many certainly an advantage when the cable would be doing. Then you could start right away here ... Others offer something more.

The other possibility is to connect an iPhone with the device. Here is a Bluetooth-essay here. Simply plug the iPhone and even the devices recognize. There are no additional steps required. Really good idea, but I did not have an iPhone ...

And so we come to the last possibility. You can pair the speaker with (almost) any Bluetooth enabled device. I have a Samsung Splus. Simply get 5 seconds Sensor button on the front, then the mobile device looking for (after, of course, Bluetooth is enabled) and then connect the devices. Total time for the first time about 10 seconds, easily. If you have connected the device once, then simply connect in the future .... and off you go.

Control:

The speaker has touch keys. You just have to "over it emphasize" very pleasant and works perfectly. There are in any case not much to adjust. Rear is an on-off switch. Disadvantage here, if you take the appliance from the power, the unit is initially from always, no matter how was the condition when switching off. When the unit is above me, so I let the current rather to. Front is the above-mentioned Bluetooth button and top of the unit of volume control. As described all great and pleasant to use. In fact, I control the speakers already on the phone. The volume I give before the phone.

Sound quality:

I have very high-quality speakers in the house (and also in the car :-)) and very good headphones. Bisehr I have listened to the following Bluetooth speaker: Creative D200, Z715 Logitech Boombox Bose Companion. The D5 is definitely by far the best speaker of the above. The bass is really very clean, even at higher levels. They play deep, as I said, you will always be compared with roughly the same design speakers. The mids and highs plays the Box amazingly well. Since you usually need more in ne other price region advance in order to have comparable. The sound is fairly balanced, easily bassy. The box plays pleasant, just a long time it is good to listen, not tiring or annoying. The maximum level is also amazing, the speakers play really loud and also relatively long clean. In my opinion, they are in terms sound a little masterpiece !!! Brief commentary on the other tested, only because of the comparison. The Z715 is visually and technically top a super device range is even better than in the D5. Sonically it is good, but does not come back to the Creative. She plays a little easier, but also a bit "thin", the maximum volume is not sufficient (and I do not hear very loud). The D200 was broken after a short time. Sound was very good, come very close to the D 5 zoom, is only a little bassy and muffled, but better than the Z715. Even a small sound miracle, but as it is written, was then broken. The Bose sound only once impressive, for now. But they quickly learn that they have simply built only ne "Loudness", so to speak reinforce bass and high tones. In the long run this is stressful and I think, also not beautiful. They also, if the music is not playing, a "continuous hum" that is almost unbearable. On the computer LS are certainly very good, in the dining room but not sure. All in all, the Creative ZiiSound D5 by far the best box, albeit the most expensive.
