Tangerine Dream's "Oasis": a small masterpiece ....

Since I have heard a score to a film written by Tangerine Dream for the first time (to Michael Mann's feature film debut "Thief - The loner" from 1981 with James Caan, see my to score corresponding review), I'm a huge fan of this music pioneers and have gained me some albums and film scores of TD ....

And I can give my pros reviewers more than just law:
This is definitely and unquestionably one of the best works of TD, which may persist for an extended period without further ado in the "Repeat" mode of the CD player !!!!

A truly successful symbiosis of the old legendary TD-Sound of the 70's and early 80's and the modern TD-sound, which is not irrelevant from a temporary member of the band, Paul Haslinger (composer of scores for movies like "Crank" with Jason Statham or "Shoot Em Up" was with Clive Owen), influenced, but the proportion of the wonderful old-school sounds prevails ....

All tracks of this CD invite the listener on an amazing journey in the unique sound universe of Tangerine Dream, the one only a very difficult one can escape again ....

"OASIS" of Tangerine Dream:

Unbelievable that this is "only" the score for a documentary (about the natural sights of the USA) !!!!
