With the distance of about 30 years, one can say that Ricochet THAT was a masterpiece of the 70's in the electronic avant-garde music. Tangerine Dream have made some impressive albums that were always a bit more varied and less trance moderate than that of Klaus Schulze. The absolute highlight of this album is Ricochet. Bizarre sound paintings, distinctive motifs, here and there, electric guitar, then piano solo (beginning of the 2nd part), and the whole thing with transitions that make the work appear as a unified whole. Compared with the individual and disposable tooting, you can hear on the radio for years, this music was incredibly creative and original. Just awesome. Even after 30 years I search the album sometimes out, treat myself to three quarters of an hour to relax, and go to the psychedelic Ricochet trip.
