The best Jamie Lidell album

Compass (Audio CD)

Customer Review

For me the best Jamie Lidell album so far.

It brings the Freaky his former Super_Collider albums (with Cristian Vogel) ... after himself no longer liked the smoothness of the last album it along with the smoother soul and pop appeal of his last solo albums:
"(The last album) Jim should be something Mainstreamiges. To be honest, it was also about how to be more successful. In the end I was a little disappointed because it did not have this purity that making music was supposed to have. " (De-Bug, May 2010)

The songs carry over "Jim" and "Multiply" often more facets in themselves, of soft and sensitive to upsetting and exploding. Soul songs like "She Needs Me" or loaded with strings ballad of the title track seem made for eternity.
"Compass" was created with various other musicians both in Becks Studio and the legendary Ocean Club Studio, both was in LA, mixed the whole of Grizzly Bears Chris Taylor.
So the first-class mainstream of tomorrow must please sound.
