The structure is quite simple. In this package is a Quick Start Guide, with the necessary information for building. A proper manual is not included (as unfortunately these days in most cases). The square base plate is bolted to the acrylic base and then pushed into the hole at the bottom of the monitor. Finished!
Unfortunately, even now showed a problem with my device. The tilt angle of the monitor can be adjusted. For me, however, the hinge was too smooth, or had virtually no resistance. Tipped to the device slightly, it fell back to its initial position. There was no way to adjust the firmness subsequently. An Internet search brought no help. So I contacted the Samsung phone support. This told me that here there is a defect.
Amazon there were no problems a replacement unit.
When replacing the device stand was fine. The look is certainly a matter of taste, I like this machine but very good. Power gets power via an external power supply, the cable is simply plugged back. The delivery is unfortunately only a VGA cable here. Here Samsung would rather may be the same enclose an HDMI cable.
In the first test of the display, however, showed the same a new problem. In bottom right-hand third of the picture, the screen had an approximately 2 mm illumination / white spot. It was visible in the lighter backgrounds.
This problem has been reported on Amazon and now sent requesting repairs in Regenersis GmbH.
After about 1.5 weeks of Monitor was back. The display has been replaced and tested. Since then, everything runs smoothly. There are no dead pixels or disorders.
A few more words about the attitude / service:
You can operate the monitor in two ways.
-About a control button on the back of the device (similar to an analog stick on a gamepad)
-About the supplied remote control
With the remote control, it is mMn comfortable. The language of the menu can be set to German and even without the manual easy to understand. In addition, there is the right of the menu at any point additional explanations.
The device I have connected to my computer with an HDMI cable (HDMI 1). Is not so nice, that some points in the image menu (color, advanced image settings, etc.) can not be selected / grayed out. This is safe when connected via the VGA cable differently, I want my monitor but do not operate the same way.
After a few minor adjustments the picture but looks top notch. No comparison to my old monitor with a TN panel. This reflects the strength of PLS panels. The colors look strong but still natural. Font I feel in office mode or the Inter surfing as enjoyable. The viewing angle is also very good. One need not sit directly in front of the image to have no image variations.
In response, I have been able to identify any weaknesses. Occasionally I also been playing fast shooter. Here I run the monitor in the setting "fast" and could not find any streaks or other negative effects.
In the image, there are two little things that are not so perfect. Firstly, the illumination is from the background light is not so ideal. In the case of a black screen can be seen toward the corners, since it is lighter. With white background (eg in some sites), the screen on the edges of the left and right as a very fine gray haze.
The points mentioned but I do not feel as dramatic, especially when the price of the device.
For TV Part I will not write something big. The image is the television reception also great, especially with HD content. The channel search and operation is simple, similar to a conventional TV. The built-in speakers sound now is not necessarily great, rich for easy television but from. Very cool, I find the "Picture in Picture" function. So you can watch TV in parallel also in addition to the computer work even in a small picture.
Overall, I think that the Samsung T27D390EW is not perfect, but very good monitor. For the price I would buy it again determined.
