Intuitive operation, good washing results, but cheap processing

One ahead. We did not buy the machine at Amazon.com, so I can not evaluate the local takeaway. We bought at a big red electronics discounter who had the machine for stately 399 on offer.
As our old, now unfortunately broken, washing machine were also a Bauknecht and we were quite pleased with this work, we decided again for Bauknecht. However, the firm was the price and the energy efficiency. As from 2013, electricity prices rise strongly again, this device is a real treasure when it comes to energy savings. For a 4 person household with baby, toddler and 2 domestic cats, namely often, no very often washed.
Therefore, I find the "Eco Monitor", which is mounted on the top right, great. This indicates how much is the power consumption of the selected programs. This is one (or at least me), had not been previously so clear. and because you learn better visually, this thing is a small but very positive and educational gimmick.
The other is the 15 ° Clean program. Here, the energy saving is also reduced. Here, however, you also need a detergent that dissolves well at low temperatures.
The other plus point is the extra programs for black / dark wash and bright / white wash.

The machine operation is very intuitive. The buttons respond with a little delay. That's great! Especially if you have young children in the household who have rumdrücken everywhere!
Spin can be adjusted individually, if a does not fit the code. I hurl mostly at 1000U / min. That is quite enough.
Rinse hold works great.
The volume is also pleasant. The old Bauknecht there was much louder. We live in a four room 74m² 3 room apartment. Washer and dryer are as a tower in the guest bathroom, which is located relatively centrally located between kitchen, living room and bedroom. By 2 cats in the household, we always open doors. You can hear the engine, but it is not uncomfortably loud. You can continue watching TV, chat whatever, even if it hurling.

Now we come to the negative points.

Here is clearly to call processing. With a brand device with this energy efficiency, in this affordable price range it just give something, is where saved.
The slot for detergent & Co. therefore consists of cheap, somewhat shaky plastic. It clamps a little. With a little WD-40 on the small terminal rakes, but this is quickly remedied. I think, however, that part will be the first thing that breaks with this machine.
The door handle looks a bit "thin" and "unstable".
However, these are matters on which we, with all the benefits and the price can gladly look away.
