The principle has remained the same predecessor: With my weapon I verschieße separately two portals, one orange and one blue. I go through the orange portal to get out and to otherwise blue around. These two wormholes allow me to navigate in space and avoid obstacles, but to also drop boxes on switches or turrets.
The puzzles are mind-melting puzzles, but once you get used to the portal idea go even tricky test chambers slightly out of hand. Nevertheless, it creates Portal 2 not to lose game. The reason for this new (and old) gadgets that are installed in the chambers. The selection ranges from light bridges to special dice with which I have to redirect laser beams.
Portal 2 continues the story of its predecessor, in which the artificial intelligence Glados (Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System), which once headed the research facility of Aperture Science, unfortunately, also developed a passion for nerve gas and turrets beside her penchant for testing and so sometimes just the complete research institution of any staff freed. At the beginning of the second part you wake up again in the research organization of Aperture Science, but this time are from the underground facility only ruins left and Glados lies in ruins. Together with a small robot named Wheatley takes you to escape. But awakened by chance while the former boss and End-Boss, who was promptly re-think of what fun testing yet. And so the player lands one more time on the test track. The single player campaign is about ten hours and runs unfortunately towards the end a little bit.
My personal favorite of the game is the co-op mode in which I and another player roles take two lovable robot and together must solve puzzles. Following the same principle everyone has a Portal Gun, each independently again two portals may be distributed in space with. Now, the test chambers are so designed that all portals are required. Cooperation is a must.
Valve has the hang of it. Whether alone, convinced by a friend on the couch or online, Portal 2 has all along the line and is recommended every one who enjoys puzzles.
