And no, dear cat lovers, it is not true that cats are so neat that such a thing can not happen. While they are at night on the hunt, the paws are not cleaned; the dirt disappears yes on the car roof. And yes, there were definitely not cat and raccoon tracks; which one recognizes four (cat) instead of five (Marder) toe prints.
What can I say: After only two nights using this mat on the car roof (the rationale is also very good), the neighbor cats learned something: namely, to march about this car makes Ouch - and quite sensitive Ouch. Only once (the first night), there were marks on the car, and it looked very much like flee in panic. Then now nothing more - Lesson learned.
Rather jokingly I have the mat now for a couple of nights in the intended use of the application, namely between the front wheels under the engine compartment - just in case, but that in addition, marten are nearby.
One point deduction gets this mat from me because of the rubber, on which are mounted the metal strips, so penetrating smell that you can store a good piece hardly a clear conscience in a confined space; the then stinks namely same. I can only hope that the solvent are that have been stunken over time.
How durable is a good piece, I do not dare to predict; it is a total pretty hard, and the plastic rivets holding the metal strips used rather loosely on the rubber mat. I prefer very careful with the whole.
But I can of the functionality that is only to say: Perfect, Target reached 100% - even without the desperation solution to connect the mat for you directly at 230 V (which also would technically - but of course, do not try this at home, we use professional stunt cats and bla bla).
The neighbors who incidentally thought in their complete technical illiteracy, I would have a solar system on the roof (or rather a lunar plant moonlight, because I the mat so only at night use) ... well, I have not objected so violently and only grinning ...
