Saitek X 55 I'll explain this device based photos taken. I've been looking for a Hotas Elite Dangerous. The choice was between the end only CH Products (all good but visually it did not like me). Thrustmaster Warthog (unfortunately too expensive because + pedal you're there already at 400). Despite some negative review I decided to try the Saitek X 55. I have the X 55 since good 2 weeks in use and so far it's great fun to play with Elite. I have programmed it as follows. SW1 = Ship Light, SW2 = Deploy Hardpoints, SW3 = Cargo Scoop, SW4 = Jettison all cargo, SW5 = Silent Running, SW6 = Deploy Heat Sink. TGL4 = Super Cruise, Hyper Jump. TGL3 = Galaxy Map Image 2 = Hyper Jump, Super Cruise Bild3 = reverse thrust, Bild5: Red button = Boost, Lower Rotary button = Landing Gear, Upper Joystick = UI Panel, Lower Joystick = Lateral and Vertical shear. This accumulation of keys is also what I like very much. The joystick has buttons enough and has YAW thus have to buy no pedal. As the latter which is still very good that you can replace the springs on the joystick. I use the yellow. It is smooth, yet stable. Good for dogfights in my opinion. I have not yet figured out how to use the RTY, but the Hotas has more than enough buttons for Elite. First, install drivers, then plug it in and after installing software. I use the Hotas without active USB HUB (Have 8 USB 2.0 and 4 USB 3.0 ports) and it funkuniert everything fine. Did it depend on USB 3.0.
