+ Only 0.1 watt standby power consumption (compared to 0.8 watts Grundig, Audio Sonic 1.4 watts). Since 1 Watt consumption currently causes annual electricity cost of about 2 euros, you should not only take into account the one-time purchase price, but also the follow-up costs. In radio mode, the power consumption increases to a still very low 0.4 watts.
+ The device can be easily with just one hand and one finger use, without having to hold it because all keys are attached to the top (and not forwards or sideways as Audiosonic). ever affects the layout of the controls thoughtfully: The snooze button is easy to reach and there is due to the digital FM tuner no frequency wheel that could be accidentally adjusted (but you can save up to 10 radio stations, which I using as an alarm clock is not important though.)
+ The sound of the alarm is increased slowly, rather than that you will "suddenly" awakened with a constant volume. I think that is a further advantage of the digital tuner, because with Grundig and Audiosonic there is this feature not unfortunately.
+ Attractive design. The Grundig acts in my opinion a bit frumpy, but that's a matter of taste.
+/- You can set up to two alarms and separated (de) activate (the Grundig only supports _eine_ alarm, Audiosonic also two). But you can at the Philips unfortunately only "forward" to change the hours and minutes and not to go "backwards" to eg faster from 7:40 clock on time to 7:30 clock. This disadvantage makes Philips but again by (almost) Bet that one "comes forward" by holding down the hour or minute button really quickly.
- The brightness of the display can not be changed (at Grundig and Audiosonic the other hand, is possible).
- The radio reception is _deutlichst_ worse than Grundig or Audiosonic. In the latter two I had not even roll the antenna cable and had perfect reception. In contrast, Philips reception is so bad that without exception each transmitter something rustles and as the local radio station (Radio Bishopric) not to receive is (received the kitchen radio and car radio local radio without problems). Listen to the radio of Philips is therefore completely unsuitable for waking it's still okay. There's a star deduction.
- It is provided for storing the settings in case of power loss (Grundig however not) no 9V.
(-) No projection feature as Audiosonic.
