Extraordinarily embarrassing ....

What some refer to as the "most beautiful dinosaur" their surreptitious collection, I feel, unfortunately, as horrendous embarrassment. The title of my review can be explained at various levels:

- Scientific accuracy: zero.
Granted, Schleich has made over the years much what concerns lifelike representation and modeling of animals - but just the dinosaurs seem to have heard nothing of this development. Unfortunately. (What the statement "you'd oh so closely with and co-operate the museum" makes quite ridiculous)

The anatomy of the Raptors corresponds approximately to the antiquated state of knowledge of the 90 - though these days should be struggled through so slowly that the Velociraptor just do not like the movie monsters of Jurassic Park looked, but a sometimes completely different physique had, this latest figure still looks like a disguised Deinonychus. It may be that the like nitpicking looks, but considering that the figure was born in 2012/2013, which acts quite embarrassing, especially if you also have the old creep Raptor for comparison draws (the respect accurate anatomy still worse was ). And that applies not only to the Raptor; another Schlimmbeispiel is about the small output of Schleich T-Rex. Mir is simply incomprehensible how one could get the idea to model the figure in a pose that was true was currently around 1900 (extremely upright posture, as we know it from the B-movies of the 60s), but now as absolutely outdated applies (and not just since yesterday) - and that is on top of that still sells the same way.

However angezwirbelten "springs" the Raptors put it all once again to the crown; While it is laudable that you have at least thought of springs, but SUCH incorrectly transposed it's just a horror. It would have been better to stay consistent "oldschool" and let the springs altogether. (And yes, I know: Some will consider me überpedantisch it was finally "only a child's toy, wayne interested therefore any scientific accuracy", etc pp Well what can I say. In such matters I am actually überpedantisch and my rants is probably to be understood even by those who are also upset about those people who confuse a python with a boa, keep a Jaguar for a leopard or dub a wasp than Hummel. (Many) artists and zoologists are so be it. Terrible trait. ;-)

- Processing: weaknesses.
I'm sorry, but again, I can not really understand the general enthusiasm. Compared to the regular, robust Schleich figures the "Portable Jaw" -Saurier from material her act very soft, not to mention limp. I highly doubt that the critters in children who play very courageously with their figures, endure too much.

; However, in my opinion, shamelessly stolen by Papo (Bullyland was there when it comes to free-riding also quite fast with it) - the idea to the movable jaw is indeed attractive The result is no more than a disappointing imitation of the originals. While the dinosaurs by Papo are full of detail and high quality in the processing only so (what her characters almost become real collectibles and thus already make almost too good to play with), marshy creep variation in absolute fairness, which is more than a shame and stolen lets idea seem even more pathetic.
Now the dinosaurs by Papo are indeed also not scientifically accurate - but that was not all that applied. The Papo Velociraptor-is in fact an exact replica of the film raptors from Jurassic Park, the T-Rex and Spinosaurus ditto, they freed therefore from the case with the science aspect. Unlike the beasts of Schleich ...

Conclusion?
For paleontological knowledgeable eyes the figure is quite abomination. And before I get reprimanded rashly: Of course, no one can say, like a Velociraptor actually looked like, but is that enough of what we know to say that he has not looked SO. Instead of repeating the same mistakes over and over again and old news new vorzukramen raggedly, I would be happy if Schleich once could seriously deal with dinosaurs to present us characters who are shown enstprechend actually accurate and up to date (this however does not apply only for slow, but all other figure manufacturers).
Children (for the anatomically-correct aspect is rather irrelevant) determined to have fun at the figure, but as already noted, there is a lack of robustness and the Raptor acts generally rather soft and "fragile". Once pulled too hard on the jaw could already result in a dislocation; the act already somehow worn even when new.

All in all, far from a good (Raptor) figure and a prime example of that is by no means slow the measure of all things in the character area, for which the company is held so often ... at least this is true for their dinosaurs.
